I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at The Home Depot in May 2015
Interview
Terrible. I was called in to fill out some paperwork as I had already sent in an online application for a freight position and was told the meeting would just take a few minutes. When I arrived, I was told I would have to stay for a 3 hour orientation which became a 5 hour orientation. The video was freezing throughout. At the end of which, I interviewed with the Freight team supervisor, it went well. Then, upon meeting the store manager, I was told they are no longer hiring for Freight team and only Garden is hiring. After a 5 hour orientation + interview I'm told the job I'm applying for isn't hiring. This is unprofessional and overall ridiculous.

I applied in-person. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Totowa, NJ) in June 2025
Interview
The interview process was straightforward, focusing mainly on understanding benefits and basic expectations. It felt more like an orientation than a traditional interview, with an emphasis on introducing the role and responsibilities.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Grand Prairie, TX) in Mar 2025
Interview
Good interview. The interviewer was very nice and respectful. Standard questions and nothing that would be unexpected. I would be happy to have a similar interview again in the future if I apply again.

Simple questions asking about your life, why you’re here, have you had any other experience in this area. Nothing technical, just making sure you are who you say you are and can work as a team.
