I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at The Home Depot (San Antonio, TX) in Jan 2013
Interview
Manager asked why I want to work at Home Depot. I said because I like physical labor. He started me at $8.50 an hour. Store manager made fun of MET team saying that they can't recognize talent. At the end of the interview I was already bullied into having to work two giant mixed pallets in less than an hour as the requirement. They will hire anyone willing to take the position because of high turnover rate due to constant abuse and favoritism by supervisors. Most supervisors are young kids who don't make much more than starting wage.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Totowa, NJ) in June 2025
Interview
The interview process was straightforward, focusing mainly on understanding benefits and basic expectations. It felt more like an orientation than a traditional interview, with an emphasis on introducing the role and responsibilities.
Simple questions asking about your life, why you’re here, have you had any other experience in this area. Nothing technical, just making sure you are who you say you are and can work as a team.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Grand Prairie, TX) in Mar 2025
Interview
Good interview. The interviewer was very nice and respectful. Standard questions and nothing that would be unexpected. I would be happy to have a similar interview again in the future if I apply again.
