I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Zillow in May 2019
Interview
Applied online - received email a few days later asking to schedule a phone interview with recruiter. I was very excited. I did my homework and felt I was very well prepared. When the recruiter called she basically asked me 3 scripted questions (two were more behavioral (STAR questions which I found very odd that this would be part of a recruiter's phone interview/screening) , in which I answered. She wasn't engaging or conversational. She barely discussed the details of the role, nor did she try to get to know me. The phone "interview' barely lasted 20 minutes, I asked her if she had any more questions for me or if there was anything else she wanted to know about me (which was pretty funny as she didn't ask me anything really - just read the 3 scripted questions) . She said no. I felt that she had no interest in what she was doing - just checking off boxes. Very strange. Of course, I believed I was the perfect fit for this position not only did I meet ALL the requirements, experience and skills that was needed for this position, I had the passion and personality as well ~ a real shame that the recruiter really didn't care. Honestly, you all should think about hiring recruiters that can do more than just read off a piece a paper. Recruiters should be able to engage and be able to communicate , naturally. Very disappointing experience.
