      Recruiter Interview

      14 Jan 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Zillow (New York, NY) in Apr 2024

      Interview

I applied and a recruiter reached out to set up a phone screen. It went very well and she told me I had really relevant experience to the role and went as far as to say it would be a "really easy decision" for them. Really sold the company to me and walked me through the entire interview process and timeline they were looking at. I was super excited for next steps and she made me think I could've gotten hired right then and there. I ended up getting ghosted for 2-3 weeks and did not even progress to the next round. After a third follow up asking her to just close the loop at that point, she got back saying they moved forward with another candidate.

      Recruiter Interview

      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Zillow in May 2024

      Interview

The interview process was very straightforward, although I did not move forward to final rounds. However, the Recruiter provided a lot of detail and preparation and did an incredible job making it a seamless experience. The only feedback I have is to please reject candidates in a timely response. I was strung along for over a week and would have appreciated timely feedback.

      Recruiter Interview

      18 Aug 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Zillow in May 2022

      Interview

Recruiter called me to set up a phone screen and when I called back, they had a meeting going on in the background and then asked me if I applied or if they sourced me because they had been settting up tons of calls that day. Had the phone screen a couple days later and they mistaked me for another candidate they had spoken to so the very beginning of the call was super awkward. Felt like the recruiter was negging me at times and the position ended up being a contract position anyways and not employee which was not clear in the ad.
