Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive Council committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney. Our Library Service department is seeking a part-time Toy Library Assistant to join the team.

Purpose:

The Toy Library Assistant supports the maintenance, cataloguing, acquisition and promotion of a high‑quality and accessible lending collection of toys and games. The role contributes to the delivery of educational resources and activities that enhance child development and provide learning opportunities for parents and carers. It also supports the effective delivery of library and customer services across all service points, ensuring a high-quality and consistent experience for the community.

About the role:

• Support acquisitions tasks including unpacking, receiving, and processing to ensure timely availability and collection management.
• Ensure the toy and game collection is well presented by proactively identifying and resolving any issues arising from circulation.
• Deliver outreach activities and customer service, achieving positive outcomes for all enquiries.

• Ability to work as part of a team and to be an effective team member.
• Ability to work independently, including the ability to problem solve, manage, and prioritise competing work demands
