I have been working at Open Colleges full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The Melbourne Office has a great, positive culture, in a cool location. I have worked in Sales Roles within a handful of organisations now, and Open Colleges really *wants* its people to do well and earn good money. There is a very thorough and enjoyable Induction process to ensure new staff are trained and confident before getting into the role, and a very fair "ramp" to ensure that newer employees have achievable starting targets.
The support offered from Team Leaders and Senior team members is always very helpful, and there is room for even experienced sales people to grow.
Overtime shifts are optional and well compensated for. Lots of fun and motivating daily/weekly incentives on top of usual Monthly Bonus'.
Senior Management make a real effort to communicate with all staff within the business which really makes you feel "Part of" the company. Having a CEO who remembers your name and is down for a chat, even with the more entry level staff is awesome.

    Cons

As with any phone based role, the repetition can feel like a grind from time to time.
Some Head Office Staff can be rude and difficult to deal with (Usually unnecessarily)
No Annual leave in the first quarter is a bummer if you like Summer Holidays
A few kinks need to be ironed out on the IT side of things to make one or two processes easier.

    Advice to Management

Transparency and communication with your staff so important in the culture of a company. Keep doing what you're doing!

    Application

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Open Colleges (Melbourne) in May 2020.

    Interview

a job where they want a candidate to possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.. It’s really annoying when the company avoids to communicate the interview results even after following up with them constantly.
