Mission: Transforming business, making life simple
We are here to build and deliver truly great products and services that transform business and make life simple for our customers.
I worked at TechnologyOne (More than 5 years)
Nice office and facilities. Free breakfast and coffees. Had some good products and interesting jobs. I agree with others said that many non managerial staffs are good. A really small portion of managers are willing to listen.
Too many of internal policies which prevent coconsultants from being able to focus on customers. Even T1 consultants are confused with internal processes and procedures, you image what customers think?
Some performance measurements are senseless. KPIs should be objective rather they are often subjective based on "experienced views". Too much of focus on investments on returns so most managers are rushing the results. It takes time to build a capable team and even more efforts to retain talents. Good leaders say I take care of my employees and let them take care of my customers. Inefficient managers say just do what I told you to do and don't do anything else! Take care of employees means more than telling them what to do and what not to do. Otherwise, hiring robots instead of people.
Last but not least, why do you think consultants would enjoy their work? Money? People? Culture? ..... list goes on. However, most importantly is the work itself which provides them with satisfaction by completing the customers' requirements and would make them proud if achieve sth significantly important to the customers. That says every single consultants are good regardless their background, colour, gender, skills and knowledge. If company could just listen and provide them with necessary support, they wouldn't leave. And if they do, they leave for good.
Advice to Management
Take care of your customers and let them take care of your profits. It does not go the other way around. If can't get consulting right, no matter how good your products are, you will fail eventually and it would be a shame to an OZ owned software company on global stage. CEO once said on stage at 2016 evolve event that T1 heard customers feedback on consulting which was not good and unfortunately it is still not good. But it can change starting from taking care of your consultants first.
I applied online. I interviewed at TechnologyOne (Brisbane) in May 2017.
Great experience, lots of info, wining & dining, info on culture, meeting former Grads, meeting lots of Leaders and getting to ask questions of the Leaders. Also a tour of the building and information on the next steps and what to expect. Also got to meet other applicants.
