Pros

Getting the chance to interact with employees from all over the country and working from home (if you are into that).

Cons

Blatant favoritism. Bonus structure is garbage and ensures only the fastest and most robotic employees make actual money (they also cut the bonus structure by over half a month after I was hired and promised 5 times that amount). They also claim that they will continue to pay you put any bonus money you earned after you leave (past the threshold amount) but thats a lie. I am still waiting on my bonus payout but hold little hope in receiving it as management is now claiming they dont do that. They also do not allow current employees to claim the work after other employees leave, so that money thats supposed to go to employees goes right back to the rich man that owns the place and the people hes hired to do his bidding. Management is unapproachable and even new employees asking viable questions are treated like an annoyance. Lots of turnover. Rules change almost daily and only apply to those they chose to apply them to. Other employees are caught "stealing" (essentially your bonus money by claiming the work you previously worked on) and allowed to continue working while others (who are good people trying their best and poorly trained) are let go without any notice. They have one hard-working supervisor who tries her best to neutralize all the cons but the manager always has the last say, no matter how little sense it makes or money it loses employees and the company. I quit this job because I could no longer stand to work for a company so unethical in various ways, who treated their employees so poorly and spoke to them even worse, if they spoke to them at all. If you chose to do this work here you will also receive many complaint phone calls from angry people all over the country who were either treated poorly by the branch managers of the schools or by the instructors themselves. You will be taking on a lot. This job isnt worth the terrible hourly pay nor the bonus structure. And you wont see a bonus until after you make a certain amount of enrollments, that they also doubled when they cut the bonus structure that would have made all the trouble possibly worth it. So basically you are busting but making non-stop calls for the 'potential' of bonus pay and you get the added bonus of being talked to like a dog and held to the impossible standards set by a select few employees who don't follow the rules (because they dont have to).

Pros

The Good: -Schedule: M-F day stops at 4:30 -Pay: It's ok (but they will do everything possible to avoid paying bonuses)

Cons

The Bad: -Management changes frequently. I had 3 different "managers" in 11 months. Each time they say "we fixed that problem, this new manager is better" -They pass the buck; it's always the last person they fired fault, but now its "fixed" -They can't pay their bills. The trucks are always in the shop and won't get released until 160 will pay the bill. The internet was shut off on my last day with students in the class room because of 4 months of non payment. -They are extremely dependent on students getting funding through government funding. When that funding is frozen (as it was for 4 months in 2024) or when they loose funding sources because they are banned due to non performance because they can't keep trucks running or instructors, (as it was for 6 months in 2024) then enrollments are low and it will be your fault. -They have an outside lender that requires a 680 credit score to get a 7k loan. -Most of the sales appointments will be unemployed looking for a grant. -You are required to sell the program even when you KNOW you can not instruct because you don't have instructors or working trucks. Ultimately, if you want some quick money take the job and get your paycheck while you look for something better. The average BDS last 3-6 months. My location was opened for 2.5 years and there were 3 BDS associates before me and I was there 11 months. Don't expect this to be your new career or an opportunity to make a difference. Don't drink the orange Kool Aid.

Awful run from toxicness

Pros

If you suck off the higher ups, you’ll stay forever. They’ll fire everyone around the problem as long as you stick your nose so far up there rear until you can’t breathe.

Cons

Ahhh where to start. So performance based that the owner literally says he does not care about you as a person, but cares about your metrics/performance. I wish people could see what the owner thinks of his ground level employees in his weekly meetings. Disgusting. Also his little romance with his former work associate was not a good look. This company got 2 business loans of 50 million and now realize they do not make enough money to pay them back. The yards are awful, the students do not get the treatment they deserve, the management sucks, and all the good employees leave when they notice how awful it is.
