toxic workplace- run

Pros

If you want to learn social justice work and learning to work and build relationships with the community, you will get that experience.

Cons

They only want people who want to work, not slackers. They also have a strong organizational culture, so if you don't fit in, you will get axed. There's also no processes for how to run new programs so you are expected to create it but also do as leadership wants it. They claim they don't micro manage but they do. They do not reimburse for phone and mileage like other orgs. Many of these non profit leaders abuse the power they have.

Good reputation but poor management

Pros

They do great work and can get stuff done

Cons

There’s no work processes so unless you are skilled in your role and highly match what the job description calls for, proceed at your own risk. You will not be trained so unless you enjoy that type of work culture, you will have to learn how to read between the lines. Communication and articulation of work is poor and only some personality styles will fare well here.
