      Pros

      Nice location at circular quay and a good coffee shop.

      Cons

      I have worked for this company for close to ten years. I've consistently received excellent performance reviews. In the past 5 years my salary has increased by 2 percent only. They measure employee value based on a market salary and and not on merit or achievement or an increase in workload and efficiency. There are no development or progression opportunities for those who work part time or need other forms of flexibility. It's a big boys club and they say they stand for a bunch of values such as diversity, flexibility etc but all of that comes with a price. I.e those employees are not valued. This company is so disjointed, internally departments don't work together to develop a cohesive strategy and senior leaders do not communicate collegiately with their workers.

      Flexible work arrangements even prior to COVID

      Cons

      - Toxic work environment and company culture (morale is very low, 2 executives have exposed for sexual misconduct, not uncommon for staff members to shout during meetings, racist/rude/misogynistic behaviour is accepted, stressed and overworked colleagues get their frustration out at each other, clique-y work environment, entire teams dislike each other due to disagreements between leaders, nepotism is rife, leaking to the media is very common) - Unreasonable expectations of staff - Company has an extremely bad reputation (AMP is constantly in the media for sexual harassment perpetuated by executives, ripping off customers, former staff members suing the company for bullying, Royal commission etc.). - CEO is in the process of retrenching staff during the pandemic (the same CEO is getting paid millions each year) - AMP products are terrible (AMP Super rated the worst performing super fund) - If you care about your sanity and mental health AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

      Horrendous company, mates hiring incompetent mates

      Location is good, nice views of the bridge

      Nepotism is rife with managers hiring friends who have absolutely no knowledge of the role they are hired for, usually specialized roles which pay well and require significant years of knowledge, bullying is widespread and openly demonstrated. Management use useless consultancies to hide their ineptitude. If you ever get offered an interview or role at this place, turn it down, it is not worth the stress and your mental health is worth more than any money you would earn here.
