    Big organisation Secure employment Very multi cultured organisation

    Cons

    Most staff in Post Offices are over worked. Very little praise or feedback Inconsistencies in how individual Post Offices operate A lot of employees are not good at their job but still remained employed.

    Advice to Management

    Customer service is appalling and there seems to be know desire to change it. Many staff are rude and not helpful. Get rid of the 'dead wood'

    Career development opportunities. Like minded coworkers. Supportive immediate managers. Great pay.

    Senior management only see numbers. Very stats driven work environment - customers do not come first. Punished for going above and beyond. Overworked. Unclear job roles.

    Know the position you're managing before becoming a manager. Fight for your employees. Mental health is important and people can get burnt out.
