I worked at Australia Post full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Well resourced Lots of long term employees who are knowledgable and secure Happy to share infor with new starters Serious projects

    Cons

Not many, naturally there are the odd difficult individuals who you will come across in every organisation. Imagine it'd be difficult for perm employees to progress upwards with so many long term employees around.

    Advice to Management

Dont' ever endorse strategic thinking by reducing the workforce because you cannot think of anything else to announce (like so many other big corps do).

I have been working at Australia Post full-time

    Pros

    - great opportunity to build up team work spirit - great practice on customer services -steady working hours - friendly team mates

    Cons

The network manager whom is suppose to support you turns out doing the opposite way. Disconnected between HQ and local branches in some way, especially the LPO

    Advice to Management

Communicate more with the frontlines; Employee satisfaction survey is very useful; When launching new service or procedures, communicate with the frontline effectively.

I have been working at Australia Post full-time

    Pros

Work life balance. Team are all friendly, AusPost do care about their employees

Things take a long time to get down. You definitely have the feel you are working in a government style organisation. The work is repetitive and boring. Systems are outdated.
