Pros

Hybrid Working Some great individuals among the chaos. Actually a great product, just completely let down by the business itself.

Cons

Salary's are incredibly poor, dont undervalue yourself by taking jobs at companies like this unless you're desperate. This company will pay you below what others can, ask much more from you than other companies, give you far less resources and you will be blamed for clear business failings. Its a constant cycle here and im glad that I've left. Recent positive reviews are a result of a proactive internal push by HR members. This is a desperate attempt to overshadow the issues at Bridebook being discussed below throughout several similar reviews. Be aware. That's a common issue at Bridebook, ignoring the core issues and blaming the individuals who are left with the ridiculous & unrealistic asks while being managed by individuals not skilled or experienced enough to be in their positions. Managers are incapable of hiring correctly and more importantly they're even weaker at correctly identifying the issues at hand if performance is not as expected with the current team. Again, Its much easier to blame the individuals. If you want to get constantly criticised for issues that truly stem from the companies many many issues, be overworked, underpaid & have your personal time be encroached on every week...then sure, this is the company for you. The entire sales & account management team in the UK is a joke - It feels like close to 80% of people leave within a year & it felt incredibly unstable with constant changes to the sales strategy. Do not be fooled by the surface level appearance of this business. They're clueless, cheapskates, demanding, unrealistic in expectations & immensely underskilled across the board in management. No stock on offer despite the job ad stating it & was brushed off when I raised this. Several people have joined teams while I was here only to either leave or be fired within 2-4 weeks. 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩

Pros

Some of the team are full of talented, genuinely kind individuals. Flexibility with hybrid work is appreciated. Some strong members — there's real potential if leadership allowed them to thrive.

Cons

- It’s a one-way street: Bridebook expects you to go above and beyond constantly, but shows little consideration for your personal life, health, or commitments. - Strategic direction is frequently reactive and unclear. Leadership often pivots without proper data, wasting time and effort. - Leadership talks about data-driven decisions but rarely acts on insights unless they confirm biases. - There’s a performative culture around "caring," but in practice, you’re expected to sacrifice evenings, weekends, and boundaries for shifting priorities and unrealistic deadlines. - You’re hired for your expertise but rarely trusted to act on it. Strategic decisions often come from the top based on instinct, not data. - High turnover speaks for itself - Women's perspectives are too often undervalued in male-dominated leadership environments. - The company continues to claim we're understaffed, yet hires at an unsustainable pace. In reality, we’re overstaffed with a large number of inexperienced, junior-level employees—many of whom require weeks to complete tasks that a competent professional could finish in under an hour. This bloated, low-calibre workforce is burning through investor capital with no clear or scalable plan in sight. - Cutting company spending and headcount by 50% would have little to no impact on the actual work output achieved each month or revenues. - The business model feels fundamentally misleading — scraping data from external websites to create fake global venue directories, then sending venues fake enquiries, often without their knowledge or consent to be listed on Bridebook in the first place

Toxic workplace

Pros

Fellow AEs are lovely. The office in Hammersmith was nice, the socials were fun

Cons

Senior management were genuinely toxic and the culture is every man for themselves. They will bully you, overload you with responsibilities, unnecessary admin and change the goal posts (commission) every other month to make it impossible to gain anything. Favouritism was evident throughout the department. Expenses to travel to London twice a week were not covered even for employees who lived hours away, so you can lose hundreds per month
