Working for this company was one of the worst experiences of my 25 year career.
I left a senior job with a sportswear company, and was offered 3 part time contracts. Costartup&Go was one of them. Costartup&Go asked me to work for them exclusively, and assured me that they had full-time work for me. I took their word for it, and rejected the other contracts.
Out of the blue, they withdrew all of my accounts - yet told me there was no problem with my work. The "full time work" NEVER materialised (over 2 years of my working for them).
They told me they have “didn’t have work”, yet simultaneously hired other people to do the same job.
It would have been decent to be upfront vs keep me on reserve - which left me struggling financially.
For those wondering about my capability, I’ve held senior jobs for 20 years + now run a highly successful business.
My best advice to CSG is that reputation is important. Think twice about treating staff as though they are disposable. Clients DO care about what happens to ex-employees. It is bad PR AND hampers referrals.
Clients wonder if they will be treated similarly, given questionable integrity!
Prospective Employees :
Take what you are ‘promised’ by this company with a pinch of salt.
Don't accept 'offers' of apparent full time work from them, and hold onto other part time gigs if you are freelancer.
They end up constructively dismissing most of their staff, or fire them if they find cheaper staff etc. CSG do/say WHATEVER they need to to maximise profits, including misrepresentation and manipulation.
AND don't be surprised to receive rude, abusive and unprofessional emails from senior management.
The high turnover of staff speaks for itself.
Have an off the record chat with anyone that has been there for at least 4 months, and they will advise you on the high turnover.
