Pros

Cofounders are good people and I have the utmost respect for them.

Cons

Errors are met with little forgiveness, with each misstep tallying against you. The expectations set by the executives are exceedingly lofty. You're expected to exceed them within a single quarter. The window to prove your worth is short and demands immediate results. If you seek growth opportunities or mentorship, this environment may not be suitable for you. From day one, you're immersed in a relentless grind. Work-life balance is virtually non-existent. Managers disregard personal time, reaching out even during PTO, solely focused on meeting the demands of upper leadership. Trust in your immediate manager's support is tenuous—they prioritize self-interests. It’s been a regrettable experience and I don’t recommend it.

Salespeople Beware

Pros

The product has great market fit. The competitors in the space are years behind and the win rates against them in POCs are incredibly high. This company will put other companies out of business with the direction the product is quickly headed. When I was there, The growth was healthy and every quarter was a record quarter.

Cons

The CEO has no respect or appreciation for the sales function. He doesn’t care about the sales team at all. The comp plans and quotas are a direct reflection of that, designed to keep commission payments as low as possible, as none of the reps ever had major quarters. Top talent often passed on offers because the comp plans weren’t competitive enough, and below what other companies were offering. This deeply seeded, top down resentment for the sales team has created somewhat of an anti sales culture, with the CEO abruptly firing multiple sales leaders, that he appointed, and the finger being pointed at sales when things don’t go as planned. The team was working hard and closing record breaking business, yet struggling to feel remotely appreciated or rewarded.

Thank you for your feedback and taking the time to share your thoughts. It’s invaluable in helping us improve our company culture and processes. Regarding your comments about our CEO, I want to affirm that he has been a strong supporter of our sales team from day one. He understands the importance of sales as a key driver of our company’s growth and success, and has always advocated for investing resources into the sales team. Our aim is to equip the team with the tools and support necessary to excel in their roles. Addressing your concerns about the compensation plans and quotas, we strive to be both competitive and fair. We review these biannually, taking into consideration external feedback from tech companies of similar size in terms of funding and ARR. This practice ensures our alignment with industry standards. We also uphold a policy of uncapped commissions as we believe strongly in rewarding hard work and achievement. Regarding changes in leadership, these are difficult decisions and are never made impulsively. While they might seem sudden from an external perspective, they are the culmination of extensive internal discussions, with the focus always on the best interests of the company and our broader team. Your mention of an “anti-sales” sentiment is taken seriously. Each department in our company plays an integral role in our success, and any miscommunication that may have led to this perception will be addressed promptly. We appreciate your kind words about our sales team. Their value to our organization is undeniable and we feel our sales team is the strongest it’s ever been! We’re committed to addressing their concerns and ensuring a positive experience at our company for all of our employees. While we regret that your experience did not match your expectations, our team takes ownership of all feedback. We never settle and constantly strive to improve the work environment in order to make Cyberhaven an amazing place to work!

Pros

Good network of colleagues, pay, benefits

Cons

You can tell from recent reviews there is some turmoil. Inspired by Elon, the CEO gives off this air of 'if you don't like it we don't want you here'. Startups are hard but there is a difference between adversity and toxicity... Cutting someone down to the point of tears is NOT productive or normal. We have to consider different viewpoints and use these as learnings to improve
