Pros

+ Decent benefits package + Lunch every other week + Company happy hours + Sparkling clean office (maybe even suspiciously so)

Cons

- No vision on products. No one really knows the selling point of any of the products, but the company is backed by an outdated adult web site so it won't go out of business until it gets audited. - Nonexistent CEO. He'll come in every now and then to get a car wash. - Atrocious "leaders". You will be told to do a job with no guidance or mentorship. There is no thought process to any project nor any open dialogue. All decisions are made as take it or leave it. You even have to figure out what tools you need in order to do whatever task you have. If you ask the leaders for their opinion, you will literally be given a shrug or simply “just figure it out”. Then later they will laugh at you behind your back or even in front of you in their native language if you’re lucky. It’s sort of like you’re being hazed in some Hungarian frat. If you challenge their correctness in any way, you will be verbally abused no matter if you are right or wrong. - No room to grow. Every employee who is not Hungarian will be considered a Junior level employee. It doesn’t matter how many years of experience you have, you’ll be looked down upon and it’ll be impossible to advance in their backwards hierarchical structure. - Performance reviews are a joke. You’ll be called in for a review saying how great you are without actually going over what you have accomplished. They’ll also give you some tips to improve that are impossible to achieve. - No accountability. Certain employees are given a pass for their horrendous skills simply because management likes them. - No compassion for employees. You’ll most likely be given an entire project to complete by the end of the day before a holiday weekend! There’s also non-flexible working hours, which if you’re still reading this you shouldn’t be surprised about. - Employees continually have paychecks reversed. Finance keeps saying payroll service is at fault, but how can this be a recurring thing? (Owner may be money laundering). - Departments get laid off frequently. One week the office is full of new faces, then the next week it's a graveyard of empty desks. If you see the death squad from Hungary in the building, it’s not a good sign. - You will feel the strange dread and tension in the office.

Thank you for your honest review, We regret to hear your opinion on our workplace culture, as we believe your perspective is not representative of our culture. Additionally, our company is continually audited in Luxembourg by different companies, as well as by Visa and MasterCard on our sites. Nevertheless, we will pass on your review to the appropriate department.

Thank you for taking the time to voice some of the issues you have as an employee, and we are sorry to hear of them this way. After thoughtful consideration of employee concerns and company values, we’ve put a new management in place back in March 2015. With these positive changes, we continue to grow and pride ourselves in being progressive, open, and a place where people can succeed.

Pros

Cool co-workers, laid-back CEO, and what the company claimed to be trying to do seemed really interesting. The company has grown at an incredible speed, and management is doing what they can to keep up. They are trying to stay on trend with progressive offices, you can bring your dog, there's yoga and strength training classes, lunch every other Wednesday and a lot of outside team events. The office is beautiful, and the benefits are pretty good too (22 days off a year, health insurance, free parking). If you work really hard, there is a lot of room for upward mobility and recognition. Get to work with a diverse portfolio of products across many industries (TV, music, and more). Start-up feel with a strong financial backing.

Cons

Unfortunately, this company will never succeed, especially not in LA. There are too many honest, promising, interesting companies that appreciate their employees in this industry for good, talented people to stay in such a stressful and unappreciative environment. The U.S. CEO and management staff have GREAT intentions, and were making strides, but the erratic Hungarian owner has a short temper, changes his mind on a dime, and has no idea how to run a company. He'll travel for months at a time, then come into the office and scream at staff, complain about dogs being allowed (one of the best perks), and threaten people for taking breaks. He sets entirely unrealistic timelines which completely demotivate the staff, and then fires people -many at a time- if they don't succeed. Work life balance is a joke when he's around, and if he could, he would have a sterile, sweat-shop style office where no one eats, slouches, or questions anything they are asked to do. He'll say off-record to only hire young, beautiful people (illegal, of course), that are experts in their industry, but without corresponding pay or titles, and then complain that hiring isn't happening quickly enough. Luxembourg HQ just came in like a bull in a China shop and fired all directors and managers, half the developers, and are making all of the U.S. office report to Luxembourg. He made a lot of money with an adult cam site fifteen years ago- and his ego has never recovered since. He is the one person standing in the way of his own company succeeding, and it's a terribly sad thing to see.
