Pros

The people in house were fantastic, and friends I will keep for life.

Cons

Three words....LIES. LIES. LIES. JOB SEEKER BEWARE: This "company" promotes itself as an in house content studio for big companies. The issue is they tell you they have established contracts in place and they don't. They hire on lies. Dragons hired my entire team on the notion that this contract was a solid, in place, full time job/commitment. We came to find out it was a "trial" or "experiment". We, as the on the ground studio team were extremely successful in content concept, creation, delivery and client relationships. Overseas leadership however did not manage ANYTHING. Especially financials and timesheets, which led to the demise of this "company". All of us had to then interview with a new company that did get the REAL contract and fight for our OWN jobs MULTIPLE TIMES. The CEO of Dragons (AKA CLO - Chief Lying Officer) let us to believe we would all be given opportunity with the new company. Lies. Lies Lies. The new company proceeded to ONLY keep people that lacked the SENIOR title and SALARY. Because what they brought in was a content studio sweat shop where the money all goes in their pockets. Not a SINGLE SENIOR PERSON was offered a job to stay. In the final weeks of this scenario, Dragons Leadership tried to bloat numbers and create nonsensical billing to collect as much money as they could get out of this client. No warning, no insight...Dragons even interviewed and HIRED NEW people KNOWING they had no contract, and that the current situation was coming to an end. People thought they had signed on to a new job. And when we were made of aware of the situation and people began to take other offers and hence resign...the CEO then wrote DEMEANING EMAILS accusing them of breaching a contract which stated if you leave you have to give ONE MONTH notice. ONE MONTH....and the only reason they were leaving is because she lied and they were in danger of losing their jobs. In reality she was angry because that meant she was not able to bill on that particular employee for the final weeks of this scam. She went on to preach to them about abiding by a contract you sign. Let's just say she should follow her own advice. You see where I am headed with this. LIES. LIES. LIES. There is no process, NO LEADERSHIP, no upper management of the client which led to EVERY SINGLE JOB being a RUSH. Unrealistic timelines, deadlines and expectations. PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS NO HR DEPT for employee needs, complaints etc.... and no 401K. And finally... Mostly all those happy people you see on the website are US, the now non-existent U.S. presence...BEFORE we found out we worked for a scam... and they USE US STILL to promote the fake business. The concept of studio embeds is real...it is actually fantastic...BUT NOT HERE. PLEASE AVOID THIS "COMPANY" like the plague as they will likely resurface in the USA somewhere else and I felt it necessary to at least give a warning before more innocent people get taken advantage of.

Dragons Group Response

Dragons group is a people centric company where we value our talent most of all. So we are very disappointed that that has not been your experience with us. We take your feedback on board. We are a young company going through a period of growth, which we are clear about with all our employees. It is an adventure full of opportunities and challenges. We are working hard on building out our infrastructures like HR to support our growing team, and appreciate that in your case it was not fast enough for you to feel the benefits. It is unfortunately the nature of our business and industry that if client%E2%80%99s choose to change suppliers it is not always possible to keep all of the team. We did our best to support you during the transition with time off for interviews, advice and references. We wish you all the best in your future endeavours.Meritxell GuitartCEO

Pros

The majority of people are incredibly friendly and welcoming; they genuinely try to stay positive, make the best of work, and always support one another. This is often the main reason why people stay at the company.

Cons

An overwhelmingly negative experience. The company has no respect for work-life balance; overtime is expected multiple times a week and normalized within teams - it’s looked down upon if you don’t stay as late as your peers. You will not be compensated for overtime hours and you have to push hard to get back any extra hours you’ve put in. There is no support or development for employees as there is simply no time for anybody to spend on that. Directors are overworked and overwhelmed, so don’t expect mentorship or even the time to catch their breath. Instead of investing in training or helping team members grow, the company takes the easy route by frequently firing people unjustified and with no warning. Firings happen almost every 2 weeks, leaving everyone living in fear and unsure if they’ll be the next to go. In many cases, a lot of people seem to know who's being let go before the news even reaches the person involved. The physical environment is just as soul-sucking as the culture. The offices are ugly, uninspiring, and feel more like a call centre than a creative agency – no colour or personalisation, even when requested. Employees are forced to eat at their desks due to the absence of a proper break space, again, despite numerous requests for one. There’s a clear divide between directors and the rest of the team. Directors maintain an air of superiority, and there’s a tight-knit clique that heavily influences success within the company. If you’re not part of this inner circle, your likeability and growth is severely limited. The office environment is filled with gossip, favouritism, and unprofessional behaviour, including disparaging remarks about clients and team members behind closed doors. HR is aware of these issues within the company, but the directors hold too much power for any changes to be made. The result is a workplace where burnout, stress, and anxiety are common, with little to no recognition or appreciation. Turnover is high, and the toxic environment makes it hard for anyone to stay for long. Dragons is a place where your mental health will be sacrificed on the altar of unreasonable demands, where cliques and favouritism dictate your career, and where the depressing office reflects the toxic culture. Save yourself the misery and look elsewhere. Btw, the positive reviews here? Churned out by HR…

Pros

Lots of talent on the creative team. A few good eggs that make the day-to-day tolerable.

Cons

My time at Dragons Group was marked by persistent burnout, low morale, and a lack of respect for employee well-being, particularly for those not based in Spain. Leadership is deeply disconnected from the day-to-day realities of the teams and often operates in a manipulative and opaque manner. HR lacks even a basic understanding of U.S. employment norms; for example, U.S. employees are expected to work on Christmas Eve and Black Friday, while their counterparts in Spain enjoy summer Fridays and more flexible schedules. Performance reviews are frustratingly flawed. Feedback often comes from senior leaders or managers on entirely different teams, people with no visibility into your work or direct contributions. This process creates confusion, damages morale, and provides no actionable insights for growth. Client transparency is also a major concern. In many cases, clients are not informed that deliverables are being handled by team members in other countries…a serious issue, especially when the work involves highly regulated content. This lack of disclosure is troubling and raises ethical red flags. Perhaps most telling is a sentiment I heard from multiple colleagues: “All the things I was praised for in my previous roles, I’m told I’m failing at here.” The culture at Dragons Group actively erodes confidence and undervalues the very strengths that professionals bring to the table. In short, this was one of the most disheartening professional experiences I’ve had. I cannot recommend Dragons Group to anyone looking for a respectful, fair, or sustainable work environment.
