Pros

I think AECOM corporate, the most senior level, of management has or had a aggressive position to the markets and desire to empower people. Lots of people, if work the internal network you can fairly easily find experts in any field and mobilize to deliver any project. Pretty good teams in the individual units / offices.

Cons

Although the most senior corporate leadership might have the characteristics described in the pro's, it breaks down almost immediately outside of the C-suite level of the company and become non-empowering and bureaucratic. Good units / office teams, but they are continuing to have authority removed from them and in some cases be dismantled. Organization is confusing, multiple divisions and offices playing in the same markets, same services. Still a lot of separate businesses doing their own thing. And some people who came in from the outside just decide to do their own thing, ignoring strong team, people, and history of existing team - destroying what was a great team.

Pros

Decent company, good stock plan, good people who want to see you grow

Cons

Very remote management makes things hard, very little team work is locally siloed so its hard for managers to understand the boots on the ground view. Managers are great people but spread very thin, sometimes they accept work before having staff for it(classic consulting move)
