Pros

Good people - but they were here before we were bought up by AECOM, so they can't take credit. Alot of stuff about opportunity to work elsewhere - will have to see if these opportunities are accessible. Salary is reasonable, benefits are not. A real disinclination on managments part to take into consideration another countrys traditions - in many instances forced to adopt American employment standards regarding benefits, overtime and vacation.

Cons

Global, Global,Global - one AECOM. What does that mean? The fact is, the work that this global company is based on is 99% local, performed by people who know the local market. There is not nearly enough credibility given this by AECOM management. Increasingly, decision making and judgement of local managers are being reduced as a rigid, preconceived structure is imposed on them. We are constantly being advised to think creatively by the AECOM human resources machine - perhaps upper management could exercise some creativity and flexibility? Somehow, I think people with those abilities don't make it to the upper echelon. Core values of "honesty, integrity, etc is pumped out by the publicity machine, but it is most employees experience that the real concern of AECOM is money and satisfying the shareholder. This company needs to respect local company culture - after all, something must have been working, otherwise, why did they buy the company?

Pros

Decent company, good stock plan, good people who want to see you grow

Cons

Very remote management makes things hard, very little team work is locally siloed so its hard for managers to understand the boots on the ground view. Managers are great people but spread very thin, sometimes they accept work before having staff for it(classic consulting move)
