Pros

There still are some great folks from legacy real companies like Morrison Knudsen, Stearns-Rodgers, EBASCO Services, United Engineers and Constructors, Washington Group, Westinghouse Government Services, URS, and Others.

Cons

The battered folks from the acquired companies keep leaving, and AECOM is managed by accountants who do not care for the operations work of producing product (design and building), nor do they have any idea of how the real work is done. They are squooshing everyone, including very senior managers who have long had walled offices, into mini-cubes where you cannot lay out a drawing, cannot have a reference book, and are told by know-nothing space planners who have no idea about our work and how we do it that it is all on the web, a big lie. Corporate facilities will show a measurable cost savings, but much more is lost but can't be measured, to work process inefficiency. They think good engineering can be done in a call center environment where they need to generate white noise to control background sounds..

Pros

Decent company, good stock plan, good people who want to see you grow

Cons

Very remote management makes things hard, very little team work is locally siloed so its hard for managers to understand the boots on the ground view. Managers are great people but spread very thin, sometimes they accept work before having staff for it(classic consulting move)
