Pros

You won’t ever get fired; you’ll just get written warnings. no matter how trash of a worker you are. You won’t hear the end of it

Cons

- unrealistic targets. - hard work rewarded by getting handed other employees unfinished work. - expectancy to answer security calls any night of the week to check on store (respond to potential break ins) - availability 6am-10pm (if you’re lucky!) - sweat each and every shift; no matter how sore or tired you are - 30 min break on any given shift. Even on 12+ hour. - get abused by customers at register following scanning procedures - if scanning targets aren’t met; written warnings - load running times are cut far too fine; injuries are very very very likely. - some days you’ll be expected to clock out, and keep working. - out dated technology - expected to be able to lift anything in store, ranging from a box of stock, to a fridge, washing machine, you name it! What ever is sold in store you MUST manually handle. - if you breach compliance you’ll get written warnings. But you don’t get allocated compliance time. - no care for mental health even being a high stress environment Just do yourself a favour, don’t work for ALDI.

Pros

+ industry leading wages Associates - $12/hr, Shift Mgr - $16/hr, SMT - $23/hr, Store Manager - $75,000+/yr + great work environment + excellent training + health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k + 40-50 hr/wk with paid overtime Very fast paced so work hours fly by. I loved working at Aldi. The pay was great! Benefits great! Was training to be a store manager so a lot was expected of me but I was totally up for it. My store manager loved my work, associates loved my fairness, customers loved me.

Cons

+ work/life balance + walked 28,000 steps/day!!! Never thought I would be fired for clocking in only minutes late!!
