Pros

One of the best companies to work for in retail. Benefits where amazing, work life balance was best in retail. Stores are closed 7 days a year and paid. A lot of experienced, good people working IN the stores. Very tasked oriented, paperwork was slimmed down a lot to cut down "office time" to almost nothing. Empowered cashiers to be pretty self sufficient and not need a manager for every little thing.

Cons

They hire college students with no job experience what so ever as District & Regional Managers. A college degree in anything is more acceptable then 20 years retail experience for the DM positions. A common answer given to most questions is, "I will find out for you." and days later you might have your answer. Experienced retail employees know that most decisions you can't wait for days. Many tasks are done over and over because of the lack of experience these DMs have and they only know what the book says. If you are lucky enough to work for one of the few DMs that have been with the company for a few years your job is a lot easier and your store runs a lot better. But unfortunately the Regional Manager also has little or no experience, as well as no people skills. So even with the very few experienced DMs you still had him to deal with him coming into your store and make the lack of experience bad decisions.
