Pros
-You can surprisingly make more money than you would think for a retail sales position. -It is a highly active and engaging environment. -You get to interact with people from all sorts of industries which makes for great networking opportunities.
Cons
-Sales goals have become a tad unrealistic in recent years. -You can get management that encourages sales reps to be dishonest in order to meet sales goals. These stores end up developing a toxic culture where reps take pride in being deceitful. Makes it horrible to work there. -Schedule is very unforgiving, you end up spending way more time at work than intended and it is difficult to keep consistent days off. It is also very difficult to schedule PTO. -As in any sales job, stress to meet goals occurs, however, it doesn’t matter how well you handle it if management doesn’t. The environment will be tense. -Often times customers’ accounts get messed up by the system and there is no real support to fix the issues.
