Pros
Pays well and great benefits; well respected and established company. Institutional knowledge and loyalty through tenure used to be valued, but now they are laying off senior employees every quarter and hiring cheaper employees, so quality of work and service suffers.
Cons
Culture used to be very collaborative and employment was stable. Most employees stayed for life and their families would worked here too. Now it is toxic. No “leadership”—just management more concerned with meeting budgets above customer service and employees’ well being. 5 days in office from 8-5–and they track your badge swipes and computer use to make sure you are there. Any time off needs to be put on a public calendar so everyone knows your life. Working outside business hours is expected if you are salaried, and you are looked at unfavorably if you come to work or leave at a normal time.
