Pros
Remote work environment means you can work from home wherever there is an Internet connection. Pay is above average and bonuses have been good.
Cons
Never forget you are working for an old Bell phone company that has more useless layers of management that are used to working in a "monopoly" phone company environment. Processes to get anything done - from equipment ordering to travel approval - seem to take forever and often need to be escalated through 6 lines of management. Your 1st line manager basically has no power to make any decisions whatsoever, other than to hire and layoff contractors every 6 months as the business either expands or contracts. Depending on the project you can work with great people or terrible people. Since unskilled upper management is never replaced or leaves, skilled lower management people are stuck where they are or leave the company.
