Pros
-Good Compensation -Get paid for residual business that you weren't directly involved in -Cutting edge technology -Split time at the office and in the field/working from home A lot depends on your manager. If you get a good manager who gives you space to sell and also assists where necessary, you will be ok. If you get a bad manager who micromanages everything you do, you will be miserable. Also, much of your sucess in this job depends on which sales territory & module they give you.
Cons
-Extreme Micromanagement -Management sets very high, unattainable activity goals and holds you accountable to them (or will threaten to put you on a performance plan) -You can have a great sales month but still are expected to hit all of your activities across the board -Poor culture---no company events, parties, socializing -Very high disconnect between upper level management and sellers -Too much time spend on customer service and billing issues, not enough time to sell
