Pros
discounted cell service, decent (but definitely not great) benefits
Cons
AT&T Suffers from poor upper management, which leads to rapid turnover in senior leadership positions, and all too often, sudden shifts in direction. Unfortunately, being such a large corporation, the business cannot pivot as quickly as the winds change, and this causes all kinds of issues, redundant work, and projects being killed after being nearly complete. There is a major disconnect between reality and the way AT&T's leadership sees operations at the company. AT&T also regularly lays off large batches of employees (and not just underperforming ones), forcing even high-performing teams to cut headcount in order to appease shareholder demand. They will let high performing employees go, even if they are hiring for the exact same position in another group within the corporation, and even though it's well known that there is a severe lack of institutional knowledge as a large percentage of the management workforce retired or left the business in the past 5 years. The callous nature of the constant layoffs has had a chilling effect on the morale of remaining employees, as we simply do not believe anything the company says about caring for us or our wellbeing.
