Pros

Aerotek is fairly well organized and you are fully aware of what is expected of you. Aerotek is an entry company for new graduates into the recruiting/staffing world.

Cons

Aerotek is well-organized, but the organizing seems to serve as surveillance of employee work. The unusual "carefrontations" and "red zones" are designed to keep management aware of your work, but serve more to shame employees who do not perform up to Aerotek's expectations which seem to be extraordinarily high. In my eight years with Aerotek I would become nervous and anxious before these events. Management and front line workers have little or no experience working for other staffing agencies or in other professions as most started with Aerotek after college and are exceptionally young. Therefore, the understanding of how the industry works is insufficient an their compassion and understanding of job applicants is nil. The atmosphere is stressful and you must be willing to work 65-70 hours per week minimum. I would work a minimum of 12 hour days Monday-Friday and 5-10 hours each and every Saturday. Job applicants get little feedback and have little communication with recruiters. Recruiters rarely respond to problems job applicants had and when I attempted to do so I was rebuked by management. I left Aerotek because I became too old for the agency. The staff is very young and I no longer fit in. Furthermore, I needed to get away from the stress and anxiety I felt Aerotek.

Pros

Great people, great training, great entry level opportunity to get into recruiting and sales. If you are successful you will make more here than about anywhere else. Performing Recruiters are making $55k-$75k. Great Recruiters are making $100k+. Every large office has salespeople making $200k-$400k. Culture is 100% committed and generally cool type-A's you would want to have a beer with. The skills, drive, and sense of urgency you learn at Aerotek serve you well anywhere you may go later.

Cons

If you are just looking for a low-commitment 8-5 job while posting on social media about where you are partying that night...you will not like Aerotek. Success requires an all in approach both in work ethic and active support of the culture. That is not for everyone. There are Political Science grads 3 years out of college making $200k+, but there is a price to be paid. All the tough work comes first. If you are not up for the level of work and commitment, Aerotek is not for you. If you are, none of this is really a "con" As far a real cons go, the benefits are only OK, and finding work/life balance is pretty difficult.
