Cons

This section deserves a lengthy blog. This is the worst in terms of Office politics. All the good people in management are leaving. Except for two or three folks, all the Senior Management at Bengaluru office is a big mafia cartel. Don't waste your precious time of life here. Companies with lesser salaries are better. Few of the things I experienced/observed over the past few years: 1. FAVORITISM: You can come to office, do nothing, draw empty boxes on the white board and your Director gets impressed. The only thing you have to ever say is 'Yes Boss' and be in his/her good books. Your growth will be faster than you could ever imagine. People who are hard working day in and day out are not at all recognized. 2. BACK STABBING: Don't ever try to do good work. There will be hundred vultures trying to grab a part of it. And the funny thing is they would get promotion quoting your work as theirs and wouldn't even acknowledge your contribution. 3. NEGATIVE: Senior Management strategize and build year long plans to remove or fire a person. If they had spent at least 5% of this effort in inspiring or career building of their team members, it would have been a much wonderful place. 4. INHUMAN: Senior Management tends to hit you when you are most vulnerable. If anyone is undergoing a personal loss or hardships, they use this to the core to exploit the employee and push them to the edge so that they break down emotionally and psychologically. This would then be used an excuse to give bad ratings for next few years or when they are assured that a particular employee is not in a position to question back. 5. LOW IQ : Really awe-struck by the level of IQ few of the Senior Managers and Directors have. Except for parroting what they have heard in some conclaves, Linkedin videos or from their managers, many are good for nothing. 6. SYCOPHANCY: You need to be a Sycophant to survive here. In fact, you will see many life gurus and self proclaimed babas evangelizing the need to be a sycophant for being career oriented. 7. CULTURE: It's particularly hurtful when a bunch of fully grown men behave like road side romeos. Not particularly keen on talking more about this. The biggest joke is people who objectify women are part of the Committees meant to look into such matters. 8. FAKE REVIEWS: Every time the Glassdoor rating dips below 3.2, there will be a flurry of 'new' reviews to mark up the rating to around 3.7. Check the similarity in terms of 5-6 worded statements in Pros and Cons section and the date pattern. 9. LETHARGY: While other companies build new features within 2-3 months. Here, it almost takes an year to even get approval for a new feature. The industry being in a duopoly and this company being market leader has worked for it's advantage till now. 10. HIGH EGO: Not really sure why few folks exhibit so much ego for nothing. Few Senior Management folks would like to make you wait for nothing. They behave that they are busy and the next moment, you see them taking 30 min to 1 hour long gossip breaks. 11. TAUNTING CULTURE: Don't talk about anything else apart from work or don't let others know any other special skills you have. Only Directors are allowed to showcase their extra curricular skills here. You will be taunted to death and would be subjected to name calling because of that.

Pros

- Learning opportunities, every day brought something new to tackle or explore - Decent benefits package that covered the essentials - Competitive salary relative to industry standards

Cons

- Management is aggressively enforcing a hybrid model, even for remote employees, and is rescinding previously agreed upon contracts. There's a glaring lack of strategic vision from leadership. - If you're based in Europe or North America, job security is virtually nonexistent unless you're in upper management. Roles are being shifted to India, Colombia, and the Philippines, with cost-cutting prioritized over talent, experience, or loyalty. - The forced migration to Azure, compounded by poor planning, is draining resources. And employees are paying the price — not just through increased workload, but by being let go in recent layoffs (October '25). With many of the positions eliminated quietly transferred to offshore. - Layoffs are being justified as “market alignment” and financial necessity. Yet at the same time, the company continues to absorb small to medium-sized companies, raising serious questions about transparency, priorities, and long-term stability.
