Pros
- Learn fast - trial by fire - Fast SDE2 promo - top pay for canadians - scale you can't find at any other Canadian company
Cons
- managers are hit or miss, it's hard to tell if they are any good until it's too late - Amazon LPs are cool in concept, but are miss used to take as many shortcuts as possible, e.g. bias for action and delivers results often matters way more than insisting on high standards, or deep dive - too much bureaucracy, too many processes, no clear ownership, you require escalations for basically everything since teams only look out for their own KPIs, not for the rest of the org
