Pros
Good graduate scheme that can get you a foot in the door. Not sure if it's out of depseration or not, but they will take a risk on you from whichever walk of life you come from. Decent enough benefits package for a first time job and competitive salary and consistent pay rises.
Cons
The contracts can vary wildly so your tech stack can completely change, which can be frustrating if you're trying to develop in a certain area. That being said if you show potential you will easily get yourself pigeon holed. Most of your work life is dictated by the client so you will find it very difficult to set up a flexi/hybrid/remote scenario for yourself, which was one of the original selling points for this industry.
