Pros

Reasonable pay, was basically offered what I asked for.

Cons

I have never encountered such awful, petty people in my life. As a new hire to the company, I was never given a proper chance to excel. I was given a poor on boarding, over 7 days, and then was expected to assume a well seasoned management role. I understand that a lot of learning comes from experience, but to have every single misstep documented is not the correct way to teach someone. In my interview, I was told that I would be leading with a team of managers who fostered positive, family environment. This couldn't be further from the truth. Everyone, other managers included, simply looks out for themselves. One of the perks I was told about was a work/life balance. No such thing exists. I understand that it's retail, and I know you have to schedule for the business, but there is no reason that I should be at work until 10pm every Friday and Saturday of the month when there is a team of 5 managers. The store manager bullies all of the associates and the managers, she . And the district manager? She says she is available for anything we may need, however, simply ignores emails.

Pros

- fast paced days with lots of client interaction and team building moments - fun product dropped monthly with opportunities to be the first to own popular drops - opportunities to grow* - a great starting place to learn how to provide an elevated shopping experience and learn how to build a client book

Cons

- * Opportunities to grow only present themselves if you have a positive relationship with the management team and/or the DM - Corporate tends to lead on candidates and promise advancements or change verbally but little is done to correct behavior or advance within the company - Your store manager will determine whether the team is harmonious and fair, can be a double edged sword - you will be asked to do tasks or take on projects outside of your position with no additional compensation. It will be heavily frowned upon to decline said opportunities and tended to lead to being denied advancements - during ICE activities in the city, Coach refused to make a statement and or provide guidelines to how we as a store should respond. Associates were punished for absences related back to ICE activities
