Pros

The health insurance is reasonable.

Cons

There's way too many cons to list here, but the most obvious ones are that Remote Proactive does not have any career progression at all, in fact, if you spend too much time in Remote Proactive you'll most likely lose all the skills you've gathered previously to be able to work at Dell EMC in the first place. Part of this lack of career progression is management playing favourites with the wrong people. Management are also very inexperienced and make decisions based on extremely poor judgements. Also, here's another thing, they judge their employees based on their social skills rather than how productive they are. They also treat the more senior engineers extremely badly. Our department head basically "Cuts off" any engineers that disagrees with them, and on top of that, puts effort to limit promotions and rewards to anyone who disagrees with them. The management behaviour is much like high school... just lacks any professionalism and maturity. My advice to anyone thinking of joining Dell EMC is to consider applying to other departments in the organisation and to avoid Remote Proactive at all costs. I'd highly encourage working in the canteen or as an office boy as these departments are much better managed than Remote Proactive

Pros

At this point? None honestly.

Cons

They did a complete 180 since I got hired. Came in as remote during COVID and now that they forced most people back to the office, they made us 3rd class citizens in the company. Can't get a raise, a promotion, any spiffs or even the same contests that the people in the office do. This company does not keep promises and has been constantly doing workforce reductions ever year like clockwork for 4 years now. The COO Jeff Clarke is an absolute clown as well, you have to go into the office dressed as business casual, but this guy goes to One Dell World in undersized lame t-shirts every year. Hypocrisy at all levels of this company. Just looking for a good opportunity and I am out, after talking to my co workers I feel like 70-80% feel the same. The tools also suck and are down half the time as well.
