Pros

The only good thing about Dell is that they gave a fair severance package. Otherwise they have done nothing for us.

Cons

Dell has lied and mislead me from day one. I was hired on at six figures and with the understanding I would be in a specific area. Before training was even over I was moved to a different territory, at my own expense. A few months later I was told that my pay was outside the normal range for others in the company and so my salary would be adjusted to match others in the company at my level. Vacation that was promised was also adjusted down and eligibility for when I received it was changed so that there was NO vacation days during the first year. Then we were notified of a pay and territory "restructuring". Travel became nearly 100% as the territory size was more than doubled. Long awaited help that had been promised in the form of new hires to ease some of the load was denied and pay was cut IN HALF. They promised that it could be made up in bonuses but would never tell us what those numbers were and so consequently no bonuses were ever paid. This happened to large numbers of my colleges as well as myself. People who had been there a while started to bail but I was just reaching a year and didn't want to mess up my resume' with such a short duration job so I stuck it out and believed them when they said it would get better. It never did. Finally, after putting with another quarter of bonuses being denied and the target being reset to the half instead, the inevitable happened. Rumors of a lay-off started. Rumors became certainty when a memo was leaked to some of the teams that the company was not going to pay bonuses even though some people had made their numbers. Additionally, the memo said that they were planning a "force reduction". Sure enough at the end of January I, and scores of others, were formally let go. And to add insult to injury now they are trying to stick me with the last expense report!

Pros

Very helpful and knowledgeable community, incredibly easy to talk to anyone in any part of the business. Gave me a wide range of experiences/projects.

Cons

Limited intern bonding opportunities when compared to Round Rock office.

Pros

At this point? None honestly.

Cons

They did a complete 180 since I got hired. Came in as remote during COVID and now that they forced most people back to the office, they made us 3rd class citizens in the company. Can't get a raise, a promotion, any spiffs or even the same contests that the people in the office do. This company does not keep promises and has been constantly doing workforce reductions ever year like clockwork for 4 years now. The COO Jeff Clarke is an absolute clown as well, you have to go into the office dressed as business casual, but this guy goes to One Dell World in undersized lame t-shirts every year. Hypocrisy at all levels of this company. Just looking for a good opportunity and I am out, after talking to my co workers I feel like 70-80% feel the same. The tools also suck and are down half the time as well.
