Pros

You get 2 weeks paid vacation and PTO off the bat. Also you get health insurance day one.

Cons

This role isn’t for everyone. It isn’t for someone who has work experience, the target fresh out of college students because they tend to not have any professional experience and this is their first “real job” and they can and will take advantage of you. The way small business is ran doesn’t make any sense. You can and will get burnt out. Hitting your quota is the least of your concern because you have to hit 10+ other metrics. The sales tactics they tell you to use is dishonest. They are always changing the comp plan and capping out the sales reps. The leads they give you are mostly bad especially when you’re a new rep expected to make at least 50 calls a day. They are either dead lines, businesses that just started and don’t know how Dell got their information and leads that have been rejected by previous reps but recycled into the new hires so those customers are livid because they have been begging to get off of the call list. Also you can only move upward like a coach, manager and overlay if you live in Nashville. The people who are in office don’t like the remote workers because they have to go into the office.

Pros

The people are the best part of this job. I have met so many amazing people in this role. Even some I would consider life long friends. I think the experience gained from this job has also been useful for any sales role you may need for any future endeavors in sales or the tech industry.

Cons

Upper management has made many changes to the compensation and the metrics which has for sure effected employee satisfaction. Turnover rate is insane as there’s a new hire class literally every month. Dell itself is running out of room and they are not making any new teams for the new hire classes which has left more tenured reps in a vulnerable position.
