Pros
Emerson offers a wide range of experiences, responsibilities and growth opportunities for an employee straight out of College. I learned way more than I've heard of others learning at other companies.
Cons
The problem is it's full of lifers ( middle managers who never leave) so promotion opportunity is lacking. For the few spots that do open up, they often fill them with Ivy league MBA's or internal "high potential" accelerated career path people. It's extremely demoralizing to be shot down for advancement even though you have leader support and excellent performance reviews.
