Sales Operations - Anonymous employee Genesys Employee Review

I have been through multiple acquisitions in my career and in every one of them we were told what a great cultural fit the two companies were. This has NEVER been true. You cannot combine a glass of vodka and a glass of orange juice and just get more orange juice. You get a totally different drink and this was the case with Genesys and ININ. From a product standpoint it made perfect sense to combine the companies but the ownership structure was not a good fit. The investors that own Genesys are looking to get their 30% ROI in the next couple of years and are willing to make whatever sacrifices are necessary to get them there. ININ was a company that was focused on building something for the long run and made investments that were in alignment with that philosophy. And when Genesys gets sold again to Oracle or Microsoft or whomever, the culture will again become an entirely new thing, so don't say "It's a great culture fit" because you won't know.
