You will bear the burdens of inept and chaotic resource management. - Model Risk Management Goldman Sachs Employee Review

Pros

The flushes in the toilet work.

Cons

Poor resource management, and a culture among lower-level managers of throwing corporate juniors under the bus to deflect from their own mismanagement. Way too many avoidable crunch situations, solely down to poor scheduling and prioritization. Extremely poor (borderline non-existent) training, which means you are thrown into projects and expected to figure things out on your own through old bits of barely functioning code and dodgy documentation. All of this leads to further accumulation of technical debt that becomes a problem for the next new hire, given the high turnover in the group. Don't stay too long, it just isn't worth it.

Pros

The firm encourages and supports to change teams, which is helpful in expanding experience or moving away if you aren't happy with your team

Cons

The promotion has become very opaque lately. They hardly give out promotions, but make you slog and overwork the whole year in the name of it. Basically, you have worked 200% and made to look like a fool by the end of the year.
