Pros
The only benefit of working here is the paid time off - you will need it. Jeans on Friday?
Cons
Where to begin? Understaffed offices create a very stressed work environment. Turn-over is very high for two reasons: the first is management keeps downsizing and firing current staff and talented individuals who make it through the layoffs smarten up and find other jobs. You are stretched to the maximum here since you are supporting several account managers, there is plenty of work to be done. Plan on working 8-5? I don't think so - that is highly frowned upon, you better make Ayco your priority if you decide to work here. This means 10-12 hours of dedication each day. There is no such thing as a work-life balance at this company. At this point, you're probably saying, well the compensation makes up for it, right? WRONG. No pay increases, no more "tax" pay, and bonuses are all bundled in to a "pool," which, you guessed it, was never seen by most employees working here. So how does management keep stringing workers along here? The promise of the "carrot" where you one day will have your own book of clients. Long days and no pay increases will get you far - and once you advance and begin to take on your own clients, make sure you are aware that you will also be servicing your account manager's clients and any other clients on the "POD" team. If this is the career path you choose, it doesn't hurt to get your foot in the door and gain some experience and your licenses then get the heck out. Morale is very low across the board, and upper management really seems to care less.
