Pros
Work life balance, most of the time good direct management, staff discount, 6 weeks vacation (not for all roles), nice people and a lot of talent. Most managers are ok, but it can differ a lot dependens where you work. Same with work life balance, good in most places but not accross all organization
Cons
H&M used to be a nice, steady place to work. You didn’t have the best salary but you had sense of security and you could really develop. I feel like after new CEO got appointed things started to change for worse. Many very senior management left and power is now in new management hands (H&M brand CEO). After that we have reorganization after reorganization, we have same people that are part of 3rd, 4th reorganization! How mamy times can you be re-evaluated! I get it we need to adapt in order to survive but we lost our values in the process. Also people are losing motivation and a lot of talent left the company- No surprise here! People with 15+ years of experience are being given junior position offers (as old position ceased to exist) with salary decrease! This would never happen in „old” H&M. Agree with other comments that most management is swedish, there is very limited path of promotion especially now when they cut amount of managers due to reorganization and increase amount of minions. I used to be highly motivated and loved my job but H&M destroyed it and I’m at the point where I just don’t care any more. Company (senior management) doesn’t listen to us. They pretend that they do but all actions they make is for benefit of the company alone.
