Pros
HubSpot is a great place to kick off your career and develop skills in the tech world. There are a lot of different departments that can appeal to anyone coming out of college or experiencing a change in their career or wanting to take their skills to the next level. I've learned more at HubSpot over the past few years than I've learned at any part of my life. They TRULY invest in training and that's huge. Most companies miss this, HubSpot does not. It's actually sometimes sad to get out of training because you're like WOAH! I just learned a ton of incredible stuff, I've met all these great people... now I hope I can do just as well as they've set me out to be... You want to fly at this company. As you go through highs and sometimes you'll feel like you messed up (but you really didn't) if you do continue to prove yourself, you do have the ability to advance in your role, you will move up, or even if qualified, possibly join another department. HubSpot has flexibility and they are human to understand sometimes it takes a year or so to understand what really drives you. Also, the perks of after work are fun and the added benefits from mystery dinners to the gym in the office to working from HOME are huge. I love that I can work from anywhere and that I actually DO have complete trust from my manager. This company is human.. sometimes you want to jump for joy, sometimes, you feel like well, this is definitely a job, but the majority of it, what you put into the machine, you truly get back out :).
Cons
Work life balance can be difficult AT times. You do have to be committed to working here. There are days with long hours and added stress due to the being in a growing company, a SaaS business model, and sincere drive to succeed here (like... people don't want to give anything other than 100+%) but that's why HubSpot isn't for everyone. It's only a con if 100%+ isn't something you don't aim for. It can be very "clicky" at times and that can be a huge bummer, but you find your way and the people who build you up and you focus on your career development.
