Pros

Employees are great, hard working, believe in the cause.

Cons

Senior management needs a complete overhaul. The C Suite says they believe in the mission, however, some actions speak louder than words. Some C Suite execs should embrace their immediate job function, focus on being better managers and employee supportive. Stop the departmental in fighting.

Pros

Historically, a noble research mission which has now faded A dedicated staff most of whom have left due to the ongoing funding challenges and frustrations with poor management.

Cons

Very top-heavy organization Chaotic culture as a result of dealing with constant fire drills Ineffective and uninspiring CEO Unsustainable expense model Poor outlook due to funding crisis and deteriorating relationships with key funders Shocking lack of results/success for an organization that has received greater than $1B in funding and has existed for more than 25 years!
