Pros

Melbourne office is central. Genuinely lovely colleagues. Long weekends are great and health cover subsidy is a great perk!

Cons

Honestly, I've witnessed some poor - often passive-aggressive, and sometimes openly hostile - treatment of staff by Heads of Engineering (Middle Managers) who appear more focussed on covering their own shortcomings than supporting their teams. It creates a pyschologically unsafe environment that makes it difficult for people thrive and do their best work.

It’s good to read your comments on the people you work with, and the value you place on the benefits and perks you receive. Your comments regarding poor behaviour and people leader performance concern me, and I would like to find out more from you about these. If you are happy to, please reach out directly to me or one of the business partners in the People & Culture team to discuss this. Alternatively, if you prefer to remain anonymous, please use the ‘Speaking Up’ process (available on our intranet) so we can better understand and address what you've raised.

Pros

People, Good central office (Melbourne) Staff benefits are ok

Cons

Engineering management is a let down - poor behaviours, micromanagement, lack of trust - the list can go on. Seems to get swept under the carpet or ignored so patterns continue to fester and have for years.
