I have been working at Iress full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    - the company culture encourages innovation and diversity. - lots of smart people who are also very friendly. many community events - fantastic CEO - visionary and approachable - modern workplace, technologies used have been evolving dramatically for the past 5 years - free fruits, coffee, Friday drinks and etc. - paid leaves etc. for example you get ~8 day paid leave when your kid starts school. - flexible... working is supported - plenty opportunities to learn and grow (if you choose to)

    Cons

    - it can be overwhelming to keep up in a fast-paced place and sometime you just lose the work/life balance inadvertently

I have been working at Iress full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

People focused on collaboration. Good environment with the right technology to support it's people. Global company. Growing company, both organically and through acquisition which creates opportunities. Fantastic Melbourne office. Easy to work remotely.

    Cons

Career path is not linear and often has to be pushed by the individual. Some (not all) leaders are not really leaders and shouldn't be in their position due to technical knowledge. Leaders should be put into position because they are good leaders.

    Advice to Management

Working environment is great, but invest in leaders more. That may mean getting rid of some, but putting more effort into others. People leave leaders/managers not organisations.

I worked at Iress full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

-unfortunately no pros that I can think of

    Cons

-So-called people leaders who are hard to work with and have no people skills. -HR are hard to approach. When I first started with the company, HR were great. The HR team now keep to themselves and it’s very awkward trying to get any answers from them (getting different answers to questions depending on who you talk to as well). -It’s very clique and the whole one IRESS thing they’ve been pushing around for years... is laughable

    Advice to Management

Pick the right person for the job - don’t promote someone just because they have been there the longest.
