Pros
If you're lucky, you'll get to work with some awesome people. Some of the best friends I currently have are from working there. When business is "slow" it's very chill and they let you go home early, which is a plus because you get to do your own thing (not paid of course). The location is also perfect and if you don't care about making money or having benefits, it's fun. Meeting new people (customers) is also something rewarding becuase you're not stuck in front of a computer all day long.
Cons
The managers seem to be very nice, friendly and kind during the interview but once you hit the sales floor they do a total 360. They don't know you unless you open up a Macy's card for someone. When complaints arise, they say they have your back but if and when the complaint gets to the store manager, they only have their own back. If you're part-time, benefits don't kick in until a year and a half after working there. Managers also think they're doing you a favor by giving you a .10 cent raise!!! Not $1, it's $0.10 every 6 months... really?!?!?
