Not as rigid as other labs and management is uninvolved and casual. In the lab, you report your work and get instruction from an independent contractor--he works remotely. Very little supervision and testing is easy. Independent contractor is very informative and helpful. You will learn a lot from them.
Cons
Your work will not be enough to prove your self. Rotating shifts were imposed despite low work volume to separate lab staff. People can take credit for your work or compete with the workload even though there's no hierarchy. Petty drama will work against you. It is a very small work culture so one bad word or obscure perception of someone circulates and works against you. Management will not even approach you to address concerns. They will ask confidants around them who have very little presence or relation to the lab.
