Pros

good work experience, collaborative work peers, benefits are OK, sense of accomplishment after a successful, intensive program, good contacts. Worked at 2 properties, totally different cultures at each

Cons

customers have extremely high expectations and demands, sometimes unrealistic, low salary for the work you do, upper management plays favorites with dept heads who tell them what they want to hear, it's a different company after Marriott entered the picture

Pros

Great benefits for retirement, and hotel discounts.

Cons

The GM creates a toxic work environment. HR didn’t respond to emails, and couldn’t handle the workload. The accountants think they’re the best thing since sliced bread and only ever send nasty emails to other staff members. Favoritism is frequently, and blatantly displayed.
