Great movement and growth opportunity as it's a large organization with varying roles. You really do have to put the work in to make an internal brand for yourself and network to move up. There are some amazing people at SHI!
Cons
Shifting away from the privately held culture and moving into a corporate culture. You'll find a lot of the "leadership" don't have a lot of leadership qualities and are more fit to manage than lead, hence the coroporate culture statement above.

Great place to work for especially for those in information technology looking to learn more from software and hardware vendors. The meet and greets + lunch and learns help you learn more about the products and services they provide.
Cons
None, I’ve had a positive experience with them!

Thank you for your feedback and for being part of SHI for over three years—we appreciate your continued contributions. We’re so glad to hear you’ve had a positive experience and that the learning and networking opportunities, including meet-and-greets and lunch and learns, have been valuable in supporting your growth in IT. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience. If you’d ever like to share additional feedback, please feel free to reach out at SHIfeedback@shi.com.
This may be a good place to start in order to gain experience in the industry at the entry level. Beyond that it should be a stepping stone.
Cons
The Glassdoor numbers say a lot. Only 50% of the people who work here would recommend to a friend or colleague. In school, 70% is 1% away from failure. SHI is 20% below failure. To add, 53% of the people who work here have a negative outlook on the company's future. That seems like a trend in the wrong direction. If your career is an investment in your life, that needs to be considered before investing a career into SHI.
