Cons
- Project Management profession is a dead end career move within SE!. - Sales & Commercial bias organization, no project / program / portfolio organization structure what so ever. - Upper management core skill set comes from Sales & Commercial backgrounds only. - Promotion & Career development comes from close relationship with decision makers and the changes on the political winds, not from experience or performance. The RH development plan is a joke! - There are not tools nor processes to support PM execution. Tools goes as far as the microsoft office suite, a sheet of paper and a pencil, the AS400 Mainframe architecture used to function when SE was a transactional business dated way back to the late 1980s is still in place and sucks!
