It is government department so there is good work life balance.
Cons
Salary is not competitive. Senior management and the principal group act like untouchable gods. Engineering managers regularly tell engineers they’re not ready for the next level. For career progression, employees have to prove themselves in the role first, then still go through an interview process to move up.
