Pros
You learn fast. You work on some big projects Great place to build a little bit of a portfolio and meet some big name people.
Cons
As an entry level engineer you are expected to know as much as a P.E. If you don't know the content they can be very condescending and get frustrated. They tend to look at mistakes and not see the work put into it. It is good for quality, but bad for moral. And speak in an extremely condescending manner. My manager has called me stupid or hopeless a couple of times. A co-worker confided in me that his counselor said he is suffering from a bit of "workplace bullying." When I spoke to a manager about how to be better at my communication with them it was taken that I was attacking them and things got a bit hairy for a bit there. Most of the managers seems to look annoyed when they are trying to walk from point A to B and you are walk across their path. One manager the other day saw me turn the corner and almost walked right over me (it is a corner that people have near misses all the time, but this time it was different he saw and didn't even care). Another manager won't even acknowledge me when I say "Good Morning (name)".
